Challenge

Hello Harry’s new Subiaco (Perth) store was recently opened by a franchisee, Steve Cluney, and is his first restaurant enterprise. The launch coincided with Covid-related border closures and was made extra challenging because neither a representative from Hello Harry nor anyone from the fit-out company could travel to Perth from Queensland to oversee the setup process. Fortunately, between lockdowns, Steve had travelled to Queensland for training and to observe the store in operation. Ultimately, he was left to manage the entire fit-out process himself, with no previous hospitality experience.

Solution

When opening a new location, franchisees purchase the store installed with all necessary equipment supplied by David Loveday of Alltrade Direct. Having used them in their other outlets, Hello Harry’s head office specified Bromic products for the following refrigeration and frozen storage equipment:

  • UBF0140SD-NR – a compact 115L single door under bench Storage Freezer was a great solution to store frozen goods that were easy to reach and fit nicely into a tight space.

  • BB0200GD-NR – a 190L Back Bar Fridge with glass doors allows for easy visibility of drinks making stock top up a seamless process.

  • PP1700 – a 9 pan 2 door pizza prep fridge is a great work bench solution for a burger joint. With all the ingredients easily accessible, the business can turn over more food and generate greater revenue in peak hours.

Steve, who is planning to open another restaurant in Scarborough in the near future has found all the refrigeration/freezer equipment to be perfectly suited to Hello Harry’s operations.

Everything’s working fantastic, and I was really happy with how Bromic made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the whole delivery and installation process. I would definitely recommend Bromic to anyone considering opening a hospitality venue.
